A Personal Note I moved my law practice to Porterville, California, in 1999. My wife, Cindy, grew up in Porterville and always wanted to come back here to live. After our first son was born (not to mention the Northridge earthquake), we agreed it was time to move to Porterville. That was seven years ago. Since then, we have been very happy here. Cindy’s family and long-time friends are nearby, and we are making lots of new friends. I was associated with the law firm of Wolf, Rifkin & Shapiro in Los Angeles from 1991 to 1999. There, I handled all types of civil litigation and business matters, including personal injury, business litigation, real estate matters, homeowner association issues, insurance law and contract negotiation, to name just a few. Before that, I was associated with McKay, Byrne, Graham & Van Dam, also in Los Angeles, and practiced primarily in the area of insurance defense litigation. Since I moved to Porterville, I have generally limited my practice to business dispute and personal injury litigation.
